Junior at New Berlin Eisenhower
When/Why I began rowing:
I officially joined the team my sophomore year. I first tried rowing because the boathouse was right down the road from my mom's work.
Favorite rowing season & why:
Spring is definitely my favorite. It's great because the races are high intensity sprinting and you finally get to race right next to your competition. It's exhilarating. Plus, it's great to get back out on the water after months spent indoors training during the cold weather.
Favorite aspect of rowing:
The best part of rowing is the team. It is amazing to be surrounded by such positive and friendly girls. You really get to become great friends with everybody when you spend all your time with them. Also, as the team keeps growing it is inspiring and motivating to watch everybody progress.
I love to do anything with meters and sprinting. My single most favorite workout is probably the 500m 1000m 1500m 2000m pyramid on the water.
Interests/hobbies outside of practice:
I enjoy being outside in nice weather as much as I can. I love to play volleyball, ride my bike and run. I also love to watch hockey.
