Mon-Fri; 4:15-6:30 PM. The spring is the main season for our sport. Our high school team will be vying for a chance at competing in the national championships. Our regattas include a race in Madison, the Dogwood Championships (Oak Ridge, TN), the Judge Dunne Regatta (Skokie, IL), and the Midwest Championships (Lake Harsha, OH). Those who secure a spot will compete at the USRowing Youth National Championships (Sarasota, FL).
The Dogwood Championships is a two day regatta taking place in Oak Ridge, TN. Athletes will miss school on Friday to travel down to the regatta. This regatta comes with an additional fee and athletes must be selected to participate.
This is our regional championship regatta where we compete for the opportunity to race at the Youth National Championship in June. The regatta takes place on Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park.
All athletes compete at this regatta. Athletes miss school on Friday to travel to Ohio and prepare the equipment for racing. Athletes travel with the team bus and stay in the team hotel. This regatta comes with an additional fee.
Athletes must qualify to compete at this regatta at the Midwest Championships. Travel details and fees will be sent to those competing.
Tuesdays and Thursdays; 6:00-7:00 PM. New this year! We are adding an opportunity for our middle school members to stay involved with the club before getting back out on the water for the spring season in May. Our middle school team will be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm in our indoor facility (“the barn”). Cost: $170
The spring season practice schedule is MON - FRI from 4:15 - 6:30 PM (6:00 PM until we get outside).

Our season begins with practices at fight club until the weather allows for us to install the docks and move practice to the boathouse. Once at the boathouse, the ending time for practice moves from 6:00 to 6:30 PM.
Head of the Hooch - Chattanooga, TN
Selected athletes only will attend this regatta. The Boys and Girls Teams will bring a Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, and a Novice 8+. The team will travel by bus to TN on Friday. MRC will race in eights and fours on Saturday. Finally, we will travel home on Sunday. This regatta comes with an additional fee to cover entries, transportation, food and lodging cost.
Head of the Charles - Boston, MA
Only selected athletes will compete at this regatta. As of now, we only have one guaranteed entry, the Girls 8+. We will be entering a Girls 4+ and a Boys 8+ and 4+ into the lottery as well. Athlete stay in the team hotel and are under the coaches' supervision throughout the weekend. We compete against 85 other teams in any given event.
This regatta comes with an additional fee (usually around $600).
This camp is for all 2018 Learn to Row participants. These practices are designed to continue to improve your skills before the beginning of the fall season. There is no additional fee to attend these practices. All you need to do is show up (Mon-Fri; 4:15-6:30pm)
This year, we are rolling out an event the evening before our summer scrimmage. This event is meant to connect all current adult club members, MRC parents, and MRC Juniors Alumni. Come for an enjoyable night of socializing and information regarding our fundraising campaign.
Location: Milwaukee Rowing Club Boathouse (1990 N Commerce St)
Must qualify - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a 1st Varsity event at Midwest Championships.
All Novice and Varsity athletes compete at this regatta.

Depart - Sunday in the afternoon and return in MKE late at night
This race has an additional fee to cover travel, lodging and meal expenses. About $350.

The team will travel to Oak Ridge on a team bus and stay in the team hotel. Tentative schedule:

Race: Saturday and Sunday; all day
Return: Sunday; leave the racecourse in the afternoon and return to MKE late night

Location: Porter Boathouse
Our teams will have two practice sessions to choose from: 11:00a-12:30p and 12:30p-2:00p. We primarily focus on the technical aspects of the stroke as we move from the machines to the indoor rowing tanks. Cost is $10 per athlete to cover use of the facilities.
